The second of three ads I made that were featured in Huntington Bank Field. This one played on a triangular video board on the exterior of the stadium.

In 2023-24, My company partnered with the Cleveland Browns, which gave me a unique opportunity to delve into my love of sports, especially football, at work. At the beginning of the season my boss presented our team with a unique challenge: create a promotional partnership visual concept, and whoever makes the best one would get to create official partnership graphics which would be played in Huntington Bank Field during Browns Home Games.

I won the competition with my entry below, and created three visuals which I got the chance to see in person at a Browns game in October, 2024; an incredibly cool and rewarding experience. Throughout the course of the season, I created several more branded graphics for social media and internal use, and it was one of my first deep dives into graphic design.

This campaign presented unique challenges; I only had six months in graphic design experience, and here I was creating visuals that were guaranteed to be seen by tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people. I was also working with unique specs, i.e. a “sideline LED banner” which spanned the entire length of the field, and about 30,000 pixels.

I was brand new to this stuff, but determined to prove my worth, creativity, and eye for design. Through all the random issues, app crashes, and long render times, I persevered in making visuals of which I was really proud, and that succeeded in our mission of drawing eyes to our brand. During one pre-season meeting at the stadium, Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam noticed our graphics and texted his long-time friend and ceo of our company to comment on what a great job we had done with them. That was a pretty cool moment.

My original winning competition entry.

Finalized 8x8 ft. print ad.

Seeing my ad in person for the first time felt surreal. I was so thankful to have the opportunity to put my name on something seen by so many people!
